Hi Everyone,

My 3 1/2 year old bearded dragon laid 28 eggs on Saturday. When I found them all Sunday morning there were a few white but mostly all yellow yokie looking. I DID NOT BREED HER BY THE WAY.
Her beard was really really black when I found her. I soaked her really well and she pooped what looked like another egg. I soaked her again today but she seems very lethargic and weak. She would not eat for me today and i am noticing now that she is sunken in above her eyes. She is my baby girl and I can't even imagine anything happening to her. Suggestions PLEASE..... I am so scared for her.

I'm pretty sure she laid infertile eggs. It happens sometimes. I've never experienced this, but maybe I can give you a bump. I think your supposed to give her more protein than usual since she just laid to get her fat stores back up to what they were. Good luck!

My female has done this a couple times . . . they get pretty tired after an egg-laying and may go off food for a short time. If she doesn't start perking up in the next day or two, you could maybe have a consultation with your vet to discuss possible complications. Now might also be a good time to switch UVB bulbs and up her calcium intake.

My girl just laid eggs for the first time, yes, they are infertile. I would highly suggest getting some critical care and syringe feeding. I'd also get her a vet appointment, because it is very possible that there may still be more eggs, in which case she won't want to eat. It is very stressful, I know.

Get a needleless syringe and some critical care [ as Nightmare mentioned ] or in a pinch, get some baby food....chicken, squash, green beans and add water and calcium powder. She sounds dehydrated, so make it somewhat soupy. If she doesn't perk up in a day or so, or if she looks really bad, take her to the vet IF you have an experienced reptile vet. If you don't have one, go to www.herpvetconnection.com. I hope she perks up for you. Oh, and don't leave her in water too long, be sure it's warm water, and dry her immmediately and put under her heat lamp after any baths.

OK so I called the vet and they advised critical care also. I had some so I started it this morning. Several bath's today with critical care and I think I see an improvement. She is actually holding her head up this afternoon. Still not eating but does look better. If she doesn't eat tomorrow we have an appt in the afternoon.

Thank you everyone for replying.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
