I wondered if you would take a look at my dragon and tell me what u think. It's now been 2 months that I'm having issues with Bo ( as I have posted and have had responses off this site) I've done everything I can think of but she is still not moving. I moved her this morning under her heat lamp but given 30 mins she will hide in the corner not far from where she is. She is not drinking. I fed her a hopper (5th size) today with tweezers but she would not move to get it otherwise. I removed her sand, I'm bathing her everyday and don't know what else to try. A friend said I may have triggered brumation by putting her in a new viv. Is this possible. Does she look healthy, is it just me.... I'm very confused

Don't feed hoppers good thing u got rid of the sand and don't keep two beardies toghther that's your problem most likely one will be more dominant then the other so she won't bask most likely for that reason

I no longer have boris as this was the first advice I was given. She doesn't eat veggies and had gone off crickets so didn't know what else to do

I have an exo terra repti glow uvb,EXO TERRA GLOW LIGHT & REFLECTOR Large 25cm. both are pluged into a thermastat. I have a lucky reptile thermometer dial and a hand held thermometer (gun thingy).
When I first had her back in August 2011 i had her in a wooden viv with glass door. This viv had an exo terra uvb, EXO TERRA SUN GLO BASKING LIGHT BEAM 150W. This was also on a thermostat. With the set up I got a book (the Bearded Dragon Manual from the experts at advanced vivarium systems).I set the viv up to what the pet store recommended (they had the actual breeders working in there and i only speak to them) they set the temp to 32 degrees c. she did fab in there, she was shedding regulaly, eating loads, very active to the point i took her back for a health check because she was pacing the tank (this was in mid feb this year) and digging obsesively. That when i found out she was a she and they said she was looking for a mate. They then sold me boris (male leather back hypo, as she is a hypo too they said they would make a fab pair). 3 weeks they were together and getting on well until in the 4th week she hid in the cold end of the viv and would not move. She was turning black, was really cold, not eating or pooing. Thats when i found this site. The advise was to rehome Boris. Luckly my friend took him in but i had to sell the viv with him and buy Bo a new one (the lovely glass one in the pic) the same store said that she would be stressed by the move so i expected this. She appeared after 3 days to be enjoying her viv, cathing crickets (still not eating veggie's though) then she would not move out the cold end again, she is dark in colour (she was a lovely rose pink/red) every day i would move her to the heat but she would find the closest place to hide within minutes. The pet store suggested adult locusts for her as she was not eating crickets. she ate two in two days. she did one poo which was dry and dark/crispy (no white) and now nothing, I managed to get her to have a hopper (5th size) from some tweezers but she wont move to catch them. They are dusted at every feed. The adivce i recieved from this site was that the viv was too cold so i turned the temp up to a max of 38 degrees c, again she refused to even move hiding at the cool end. the viv is back down to 32 during the day and a min or 18 at night. she is having a 10 min bath every day. todays bath she was very alert. I drpped water off ny finger onto her mouth where she licked it off. i put her back under her heat and within 5 mins she was hiding in her cave in the warm end.
So this is the timeline of my experiance with her over the last 7 months. Hope this helps for advice.

Hi Dawn, your girl is hiding because Reptiglo is the worst light for dragons. It's meant for other reptiles. I used it once & my dragon got really sick, so that would explain why she's not moving & going away from the light. Mike is right, Reptisun 10.0 is the way to go. As for eating, that light is what's preventing her from having an appetite. I wish pet shops would stop selling that darned tube to people who have dragons, it's not your fault, but the new light will make a huge difference to your girl. Make sure her basking spot is about 35C, 32C is too low, depends on how old she is, too. If she's under 1 yr old then you're better to have it about 36-37, they need the heat to help digest. The right UVB is to help her absorb vit d3, which is needed also to digest. So with the right lights & temps, she'll get back to normal. She'll probably like crickets again. Any bug you give her can't be bigger than the space between her eyes, or it's too big. So let me know how she's doing once you figure get the right UVB & get the basking area to the right temps. And also let me know how old she is and how long (including her tail).
Good luck, keep me posted
Deb

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
