Please help

Okay I have about a year and half old bearded dragon I'm 99% positive it's a he i got it when he was about 9 months olds and held him almost everyday but slowly stopped holding him idk why but I just did seeing I'm only 15 I was kinda creeped out by it but anyways I have a class and we hve a baby and I love hold him and want to hold mine now but everytime I put my ham in the cage he stares it down and sometimes puffs up and his beard gets black bout a week ago I picked him up and he puffed up and seamed like he dident like it so I put him down. Any suggestions on getting him tame and friendly?

Bonding can take some time. It took dasiy a little while before she was completely fine with me. You should put a piece of your clothing in the cage. Your beardie will get use to your smell. Then slowly put your hand in the cage and see if your beardie comes over gp you. It is going to take time but eventually your beardie will love you and want to just chill on you.

I agree, the clothing trick totally helped with bonding. Try putting your hand in the cage for five minutes every day for a week or so. Take it slow. Good luck! :wink:
