I have heard and seen contridicting pieces of advice with incubating beardie eggs. I've heard that after the first twenty four hours of laying, the eggs shouldn't be exposed to light. My eggs are a touch over a month old and seem to be healthy. They are in a chicken egg incubator, in vermiculite, in an enclosed tupperwear. They are full and white and seem to have grown.

What to do now? I believe they take 60 days to hatch? Correct?
I have no idea what the next steps are...I've searched through the posts and couldn't find the help I needed.

Just leave them and wait.

Your chicken incubator, it doesn't rotate the eggs does it? Because some do.

Hopefully someone with more experience than me will chime in on this post :)

What kinda housing are you using for the little poopers when they hatch? Did you read that you have to leave them in the incubator for about 24 hrs after they hatch. Hmm what else? Are you ready to place your first massive cricket order for the little ones? I can't wait to see your pics when they hatch! Can u take a pic of your incubator set up? I think that's the same one I bought today! My female should be ready to lay within the week :)

I have custom built cages for all my beardies.

The incubator is...well covered by a pair of my pj pants to block out the light. But yeah under all that fabric is my incubator.

They will be living in the bottom right cage until I sell them.

The Daddy is a Luscistic x Citrus.

I'm just getting on the worried side because in less than a month I believe the eggs should be hatching, and I feel very unsure about what to do beyond how to care for a beardie in general. I had actually been woken up the day of the eggs hatching when weasel laid one on me. So those eggs couldn't have been more fresh when placing them in the incubator.

I just checked on the eggs and they have doubled in size since she laid them!!!! :love5: :laughing6: :love5:

I've only hatched one baby before. She's now two years old. She was one of 45 eggs. So you can imagine my excitement that it has been two years since I've had any success.

I hope they hatch!! 7 of the 13 eggs look healthy, if not a little thin though, next time I see Weasel is gravid I'll have to add even more calcium into her diet. I will post pics of the littlin's once they hatch, I can't wait to see what colors they have since they are hodgepodges. :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
