I just had both of my dragons throw up today and I'm a bit worried. I've had Buddie for 4 months and just got his gf Baby Girl on Friday. I also got my superworms and hornworms in on Friday from greatlakes hornworms. I fed Buddie about 5-7 large supers and Baby Girl 3 feshly molted ones cuz she is only 12in. They both had their fair share of crickets and for dinner they both had a small hornworm.
On Saturday Baby Girl only ate 1 hornworm and didn't even look at anything else. And with Buddie I found little tiny black ants looking things. You kinda had to strain to see them, what can the be? So I cleaned out his whole viv and change it from carpet to tile. After he ate about 20 crickets, 4 supers and 1 hornworm. It took about 2 hours to change everything out, he was a lil stressed.
Today Buddie didn't want to eat anything in the morning, his poo was a little runny and about 5 min later he threw up all his supers from yesterday. I bathed him for about 10min and fed him a large hornworm. And with Baby Girl she refused to eat eveything but a hornworrm. About 20min later she threw that up with all of her super worms from the day before, her poo looked good though. I don't know why both of them threw up could it be the superworms?
They are both in seperate vivs, there basking temps are ok 100-105 and cool side at 80 or just below (its just too hot in south florida). The vivs are across from each other and they both have minor stress marks. Can that be a problem as well? They have no uvb light yet but I've been taking Buddie out every day for some sun and took Baby Girl out today for the first time, right before she threw up. I'm so worried, I had to leave to work right after all this happened and I typed all of this on my phone.
O ya out of the 1000 supers I've had like 50 or so die off already, I've never had any supers die. Should I throw them away or try again
