I have two bearded dragons a male and a female in a 120 cage. My female is a pig and aggressive for food, my male the sweetest dragon ever never gets as much. He's slower to the food. He eats fine when alone but I don't really like doing that because I need him to be dominant. When I feed him by hand he gets ready to grab the female runs and eats it. Not cool Smiley aka fatty

Seperate them .....why woukd you want to keep them together?Something bad is going to happen....she is dominating and will attack....how old are they?he will not thrive either becouse of this.
Ifyou are thinking about mating them think if you can seriously afford to feed 75 daragons.and provide prper lighting and vivs for them all.....If you can not afford another viv for the two you have how are you going to afford 75 of them???
they are solitary and need thier own space to grow.
sorry i just can not see the reasoning.

she doesn't attack at all. I'ts just with eating. she just loves food. He's dominant during and other time though. Plus I won't seperate because I spent alot of money on the huge cage

You asked for help, you got it. Separating them would be the best idea. Holding them together, well, one will always come out less healthy than the other. If you can't get a different viv, try putting something like a sheet of plexi glass right down the middle of the viv, so that way they can be separated and you don't have to worry about getting a new viv. And like malibusmom said, sooner or later they will mate, and you will have to spend more money on that, no matter what way you look at it.

Is it just me or is everyone being snippy today?

Housing dragons together is an ultimate no-no. Dragons should be housed seperately, each in 55 gallon tanks or 40 gallon breeder tanks. Dragons are solitary reptiles. What you are describing is the first act of dominance-- the bigger/older/more powerful dragon will keep the other from getting food, thus allowing the dragon to slowly wither away and die. There are also instances where once dragon will attack, injure, and/or kill the other. Keep in mind that just because it hasn't happened to you yet does not mean it won't.

Another problem you will face in the future if you keep them together is overbreeding. This will kill the female eventually from too much egg-laying.

It would be best for you and your dragons to seperate them immediately. For now, you can put an opaque (non-see-through) seperator in the middle of the tank to give each beardie a half until you can work out better housing for them.

Female bearded dragons can be spayed. However, there is no known benefit to spaying a bearded dragon unless it is medically indicated because of egg binding, egg yolk peritonitis, etc. A spayed female dragon still cannot be housed safely with other dragons of any sex.

Also, you did mention that you wanted:

Please keep in mind that this can be a big endeavor. It can result in injury to either dragon during breeding or illness for your female during/resulting from pregnancy. Moreover, incubating and raising possibly dozens of tiny baby dragons is a project best left to experienced herpers.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
