Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. Soooooo I have AMAZING news! Today I continued with his eye drops and HE OPENED HIS EYES!!!! They are open now!! annnnndddddd HE POOPED!!!!!!!! He did poop all over my Husband but we were both so incredibly happy when he did that he didn't care...lol He is moving around a lot more since yesterday - still not close to being back to normal but we have seen a HUGE step in the right direction. I am not getting too excited just yet tho becuz he is still extremely lathargic BUT he is making great progress. What a tough little guy!

Wow! Hooray for poopers! :blob8: Glad he has his eyes open, too. Your husband is a real trouper. :D
Thanks so much for sharing the good news. I pray that this is only the beginning of his recovery.

We JUST tried feeding him his chicken ( baby food ) and he WILLINGLY ate about 3 good bites before falling asleep. This is the 1st time in 3-4 days that he has actively made an effort to eat food. :D

That's too funny becuz I was just telling my Hubby that when we wake him up to give him his Vitamin shot at 3 a.m. I wanted to take some pics of him ( just in case he doesn't make it ). We have been staying up around the clock to check on him, soak him, give him food and water, give him his eye drops, shots.....I will put some up when I get some!

im soo glad your baby is showing improvement its very nerve racking when they are sick..have you taken him outside..even if hes not walking just sitting in your lap will get him the best uvb available..and free!! they are suppose to get 4 hours a week of natural sun if possible...but they love it!

Hi there...I'm glad to hear of the improvement, too, and I agree that a little sun will do him good, but only completely supervised in his delicate condition. I just wanted to mention that I think that what seems to have triggered this was the one thing you mentioned at the outset....that you gave him the freeze dried bugs ? It may be that he was a little sluggish and then [ I've heard ] the bugs may have been too old/ or something not quite right with them, the process they use to freeze dry may occassionally produce a bad batch...just a theory. But whenever an animal goes downhill so quickly, you look at ANYTHING that chamged in their life as the possible culprit. Oh, and did you say that you wake him at 3 a.m. for a shot ? It may be best to let him sleep through the night, when we are sick , we need the night time to be stress free so we [ or our pets ] can recuperate. If I misunderstood that, then forgive me . But sounds like things are looking up, I SO hope it continues , and so I know your'e just ecstatic!

Ok thank u for the advice. Yes we did wake him up at 3 a.m. to give him his shot. I will let him sleep thru the night from this point on. I appreciate ANY and ALL advice on nursing him. He just ate 2 big mouthfuls of calcium dusted squash, got a nice warm bath for 20 min, snuggled up with Daddy for an hour, got his eye drop treatment and is now basking/sleeping under his heat lamp. I took some pics but I can't figure out to upload them on here...He seems to be 80% better. Still sluggish and sleepy but the black has lightened up 50% to a lighter grayish-black color. I really think he is going to make it! You guys have helped so much and I cannot thank each and every one of u who has taken time out of your lives to comment and read my thread enough. I am truly grateful to each of u from the bottom of my heart. I will continue to do everything that I possibly can to fight to save him and continue posting updates until he ( hopefully ) is back to normal. I couldn't have gotten thru this without u guys. Please know that the time u have taken out of your day to help me has saved a life. THANK U.

Just wanted to give an update on our little guy - as of today he is back to about 90% health! He is eating, drinking, pooping, moving around by himself and his coloring has improved 100%!! He is sure a tough little guy! I am so beyond grateful that with the immediate attention and nursing 24-7 that me and my Husband provided we were able to save his life!!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
