(I know this has nothing to do with bearded dragons but this forum is so much more active -- and many more intelligent people -- than the other forum about leo's...)
PLEASE help -- I just rescued a leopard gecko off craigslist two days ago. My DH and I have had experience with leo's, we have two others right now.. but I was definitely not expecting this poor baby to be in such bad shape. She's approximately 2 years old (although that was just an estimate by the prev. owner who got it as an adult at a reptile expo). The owner gave her away because her other leo was bullying this girl. She's so so thin, her backbone is very prominent, and her tail, which should be thick, is about as round as a pencil (maybe a little bigger).
The only good thing with her right now is that she's active and is walking around the tank often, and exploring. We put calcium powder with D3 and mealworms in her dish, she ate about ten of those last night, but she has lost about .7grams since we got her. How is this possible??
Should I get some waxworms for her? Would it be too much for her, seeing as she's been starving for so long?
It's absolutely killing me to see this poor baby suffering. Please help!
