How old is your dragon? about two months i think
How long have you had your dragon? 3 weeks
How long is your dragon? 8 and 1/2 inches
What is the sex of your dragon? male
What size enclosure do you have your dragon in? at the moment a 30 gallon
What type substrate do you have on the bottom of your tank? reptile carpet
Do you use UVB lights? yes, i use a reptisun 10.0
If so, Is it a coil, compact, fluorescent tube, or Mercury Vapor bulb? fluorescent tube
What is the brand name and number of your bulb? Wattage (if MVB)? reptisun 10.0 by zoomed
How old is your UVB bulb? 3 weeks
How close can your dragon get to the UVB? about 10 inches
Do you use a separate basking bulb? What kind and what is the wattage? yes, a zoomed reptisun basking bulb, 75 watts
What are the basking temps? 105
What is the cool side temp? 85
Do you take the temps with a stick on thermometer, a digital thermometer with a wire and a probe end or a temp gun? digital thermometer with a wire probe
Where exactly are you taking your basking temps? exactly where my little guy basks, 10 inches under bulb
Do you use a heat rock or heat pad? no, heard they were very bad
What do you feed your dragon? Please be specific. i offer him green beans, mustard greens, and collard greens. For the live food i offer crickets
How often do you feed and what time do you feed (morning, afternoon, night)? I feed him twice a day, first at about 11:00AM, then about 3:00PM
Do you gutload (feed) your crickets, worms, etc? yes, i use flukers to feed and gutload m crickets
Do you use vitamin or calcium supplements? What brand(s)? How many days a week do you use each of them? I use a calcium supplement
Is your dragon having regular bowel movements (poops)? Yes my dragon poops about once a day
Do you bath your dragon? How often? i bath my dragon about once or twice a week in luke worm watter
Do you mist your dragon or offer water other than in the bath? Yes i mist my dragon and his veggies
Does your dragon share an enclosure with another dragon? yes
Have you gotten a vet check and fecal done? not yet, but i plan to go this week end, finally found good reptile vet
The question
I offer him crickets twice a day for about 15 minutes. The thing is that he eats about 6 crickets total which really worries me because i heard they should be eating like 20-50! He sometimes nibbles at his greens but most of hte day he just basks. What should i do to get him to eat more, and advice will be greatly appreciated!
