please help looks like blood

i have got a 4 mth old beardie and this is the 13th day we have had him he is not eating much managed to get him to eat some butternut squash today he pooed twice on sun after last eating on wed

anyway we came home to find what was either urine or the substance you get around their stools with pink in it which can only be blood as we havent given him anything which would change the colour....and hes been drinking lot today

can anyone help as really worried

What is being fed? What is his basking at? Are you bathing him? Can you provide a picture?

Did you get a picture of it? Have a picture of the beardie? tell us about his setup:

cage size
temps and how being measured
substrate
UVB bulb type and distance from basking spot

Is he rubbing his snout/mouth on something that has caused it to bleed?
If it is blood, then try to use some antibiotic ointment on the area, to help keep it from getting infected.

Tracie, I would believe this to be more of an fissure inside the vent area. Light red to pink would indicate surface blood, deep or dark red would be more of an internal organ bleeding. Or am I wrong?

hey i havent got a pci no we have only fed him a few wax worms locust and crickets as he wont eat just hoping he was a bit bunged up and at home today so can keep an eye on him...we have found out the temps too high so gonna turn off the light for a few hrs today and we have ordered a dimming theromostat. havent seen him scratch himself and it was very very faint pink..... he has just gone a bit down hill the past few days but he is drinking water when i give it to him....and we have tried all sorts of veg so was glad he ate the butternut squash ( after we found the blood).

he has some pheonix worms coming hopefully today so hope he eats them

he basks on his log ...but spends most time under it ( prob coz didnt realise too hot) we bath him every other day and he has kitchen roll down ( paper towel)

Ah, I was reading something on a mouth infection & doing this at the same time. I apologize!
Yes, that would be like a fissure, but hopefully it is nothing serious or becoming infected. It the area swollen at all?
If he seems to be going downhill a little bit it would be a good idea to take him into the vets in case he may have other problems such as heavy loads of parasites or worms. If you feel he is impacted slightly, you can give extra oral fluids & a mixture of sugar free applesauce, along with canned pumpkin. You can put a couple of drops of olive or mineral oil in with the food as well.
What are the temperatures now, do you use a digital probe or temp gun to measure with? Maybe use a lower wattage of basking bulb until your dimming thermostat gets there so he can still bask a little bit.
What type of supplementation do you use?
