PLEASE HELP! BEARDIE

Hi there,
My names Wells. Im 14 years old and live in California. Ive had this one bearded dragon "Winston" for around 8 months and hes 15 inches. We recently purchased another beardie female named "Mia" who is around 10 1/2 inches. Winston tried biting her around the neck and tried mounting her a couple times. There tanks are side by side also. but last night he jumped off my moms shoulder and landed right on his back! thats a 5 ft drop. he was acting super lethargic after that and wouldnt move or open his eyes. his poop is very liquidy and stinky which i found him in this morning. Do you know whats happening? Is it because he fell on his back, brumation, or parasites?

It sounds like he may have hurt his back, since he became lethargic after the fall. I think he needs some X-rays to be sure he didn't possibly break or severely injure his back. I hope he improves....but do you have a reptile vet?

How is your beardie doing now? Is he still acting lethargic? If so, I would say a definite vet visit is needed.

And not to jump on you or anything, but wanted to say that he is too young and your female beardie is too small (and probably too young, I dont remember seeing her age) to be bred. It could severely injure her, or worse.

He was trying to mate with your female,typical behaviour when trying to mate.And he must have hurt his back,take him to a vet to see what damage it caused.

Not to scare you, but it could easily be a spinal cord injury with a fall from that height . Take him to the vet ASAP so he can have X-rays done. Good luck! Hope hes OK!

to everyone whose cared enough to commnet: thank you so much for your concern, and Winston was climbing up screen doors to today and is better. if he really injured himself i dont think he'd be able to move that well. i will take him to our local vet if needed
