PLEASE HELP - ATE HAIR!

It seems like my Iris has ingested some loose hair in my room.. she just tried to pass it and it's stuck in her vent. I don't know how much is still inside, but it's hanging out. I tried to LIGHTLY tug on it to see if she would push it out, but she isn't and it looked like if i kept pulling, she would have a prolapse. So, I immediately stopped. Will she pass it slowly on her own or should i take her to the vet?? I don't want it to get caught on anything in her tank so i will be removing anything it could hook onto.

She isn't showing any signs of pain or stress, but this just doesn't seem good??

I honestly don't know how she got the hair in her tank, maybe some fell out of my head when i was cleaning her tank or feeding her? I just want her to be okay.

It should pass. Give her some veg./ or mineral oil, applesauce, canned pumpkin to help move things along.

You could also call your vet. They may just tell you on the phone if it sounds like she's in any trouble, or they may have you come in and give you some lactulose to help her pass it quickly. I doubt that it's serious, but peace of mind is everything.

Okay, thank you. She's still eating and basking like it's not even bothering her. So i'm hoping it passes. My hair is pretty long...
