Well this is pretty short and gross.. but I am balancing being a full time student AND having a job right now and I can't always be home.. and more times than not, Pepper will poo while I am gone.. and I come home to her COVERED in it and her poo is mashed into the ground. :banghead:

I always give her a good (gentle) scrubbing after.. but does anyone else's beardie do this?? I don't understand why she does. When Iris poos, she's as far away from it as possible until I clean it up.

My bathing technique is to lightly scrub it away in circular motions to make sure it's completely washed away. Will this affect her shedding in any way? Like am I irritating her scales too much? I have also noticed she hasn't shed in awhile. She's around 8-9 months old.

Fluffy doesn't play in her poo, but she's definitely not afraid of it. She tends to poop right in prime basking areas. I guess all that heat gets her food digesting and out it comes. So, she scoots away from it and finds other places to lie. And slowly works her way towards her poo spot until she will finally just lie in it because it's where she wants to be. I know the routine cuz I've sat and watched her for a couple minutes when I am home to see the pattern. Fortunately, she seems to take long enough to decide to go back to that spot that it's dried up a good bit. So, when it happens while I'm at work and I come home to a mess, it takes nothing more than a good soak to get her cleaned up. Afraid I can't really give you any input about how you clean her up.

Ali goes on his basking spot all the time and goes to the highest point in his tank to get away from it or he'll lift his tail, walk to the other side of his tank and wait for me to come up there to change his paper towels. If I don't come, he goes crazy and starts making noise. (I stay at home all day.) Then I sanitize where he had gone with hand sanitizer. It doesn't seem to be bothering him with the smell and he waits. I mean he waits until the paper towel's on the clean glass before going on it. Ali does step and track in it from time to time, but that's okay. I give him a good gentle scrub with his rubber ducky and little soft bristled toothbrush.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
