Well, we got the tail end of Hurricane Danny all day on Saturday...mostly just rain. I had Malys sitting in front of the patio door while i cleaned the kitchen Saturday afternoon and after about 10 minutes she started glass-dancing along the patio door, like she wanted out. I put her back on her pillow and told her she really didn't want to go out there. The glass dancing continued so i did what i do with my cat when she wants to go out in bad weather...i opened the door and said "go ahead! get wet!", expecting that she'd feel the temp change when i opened the door (it wasn't a warm rain) and change her mind...well, that's what the cat does
She ran outside on the deck and started crawling on her belly through the water like she does sometime in the bath, like she was playing in it. She seemed to be enjoying herself. It was too cute but it was cold and i was worried she'd get a chill so i didn't let it go on too long. When i went to pick her up she half-bearded at me but i picked her up anyway, took her in and dried her off and put her back in her viv to warm up. I felt a little guilty letting her do it because of the temps but to see her playing in it, well, i just wanted to leave her out for awhile and watch her enjoy herself. I didn't though, but could it have been harmful?
