Planning new enclosure

Hey everyone. I'm getting ready to move my beardie Benedict from his 30 gallon up to a mansion-like 75 gallon. I am looking into my flooring options, and I have decided to go with tile. The question is: What kind of tile? I could go with slate, of course. But I am considering all my options. Currently I am looking at travertine and some of the rougher ceramic tiles. I plan on making the floor, hide, and basking spot out of the same or similar colored materials if possible. Does anyone have experience with using different types of tile in their enclosures? Any experience or advice is welcome.

It doesn't matter so much as long as there is enough texture. Slate and other natural stone is a really nice option since it naturally grippy and rather attractive to many. Most ceramic tiles I would consider to be too slick.

Thanks for the info, Tater. I will be looking for a little while yet, weighing my options and choosing the best I can for him.

Shared this in another post where I asked more annoying questions lol. But wanted to put it here as well:
I found some nice 6x24 ceramic tile that mimics the look of slate. It is a bit smoother than the actual slate, but I put a couple of pieces in the new tank and put Benny in there while I was cleaning his current home and he seemed to like it. Showed no signs of stress and wasn't slipping on it at all. I also decided that I would build his basking spot and other "furniture" out of small tumbled travertine blocks(2x6).
Thanks for the advice, and please see my other post if you'd like to help me answer my many, many other questions about Benny's new home. Really trying to give him the best home I can.

I'm building a viv out of an old armourie and was wondering if lining the walls with a space blanket would be too much. It's a fairly large structure ( 1'6"deep +3'2 length+3'7" tall) and I want to make sure it's warm enough. It will have either 2-3 levels, top constructed of mostly netting as to let light through. I could use some input.what should I use as a top? I was told plexiglass would not stand up to the heat.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
