Hello there, I have two female eight month old beardies. One had decreased appetite and we as very quiet a few month back , so I monitored her weight and was told that she may go through a small brumation cycle.a while after the other one started tge same behaviour so I took them to the vets and it showed up they have pinworm. The vets in our area are all not specialised on reptiles so I thought I may get a bit more information here and on Google. They both had two lots of worming and are due for their next one today, before I have to take another poo sample to the vets. The worming makes them very sleepy, I assume uncomfortable and not eating. I do get a little bit on repashy grup pie into them though so they don't loose weight. They are not interested in any Veges, crickets and so on at the moment. Now Google told me it would be beneficial to give them probiotics. What would be the best to give them? I do have kombucha, but it also contains sugar, would that be save to feed to them? Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Pinworms can usually be treated easily using Panacur. Their appetites may decrease for a bit but they should bounce back pretty quickly. You can offer probiotics if you'd like. I suggest offering one that is reptile specific like the Reptophilus here http://www.bug-de-lite.com/store/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=Acidophiliz

In addition I would keep them on paper towel or other disposable substrate or if they're on a hard substrate then sanitize it often to help prevent re-infection. Using a steam cleaner or F10SC is probably your best bet. It may also help to spray their bottom with some Vetericyn after they poop to further prevent the spread of infection.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
