pink around the vent?

hi all,
my beardie is a 9mo male & the area around his vent is light pink, maybe a little swollen. i tried to take a pic to post but the color change is so slight, it didn't show up. took him to vet & will be submitting poop for parasites/worms testing, but thought someone here might have some experience with this? thx!

Is he on sand or some other lose substrate?

no loose substrate, we use the vinyl stuff. his temps are 75 on the cool side and 105 basking area. we use a reptisun 10.0 that we replaced in january. dropped poop off at vet this morning so hope to have results back soon. thx
