OK. I was feeling pretty good this morning but now I'm a bundle of nerves again to the point were my stomach hurts & this post has been written for a while I just needed to get to my e-mail & photobucket & haven't been able to check any posts so I appologize if I'm asking questions that have been answered, I am going to look at posts now before I go to the store. Also, please read my description of the 8th picture because I have a theory of one of the reasons Pilot is SOO much sicker than Blazer. (THANKS!!)

I felt everything was going great. Pilot lifted his head a few times and Blazer seemed to take the syringe from me in a less stressed way.

Well, I fed Pilot the Repta-Aid first. He seemed to be doing much better so I just mixed the pedialyte with it and think I screwed up because I also put a tiny bit of Dragon Dust in it. Within in a few minutes, he had diarreah all over. There was a tiny bit of white in it. Well, since he obviously got NONE of the nutrition from it, my gut told me to give him a little bit more but to only use mostly water and only 1/2 syringes as opposed to the 3 prior before it. I did and I believe he's kept it in.

I also gave Blazer the repta-aid and usually only get a dropper full or even less in him because he gets SO stressed) Well, he managed OK today. He lapped it up and I didn't have to stick it in his mouth!! Hooray Baby!! Well, I went over to the tank to check on them (I now have OCD with them and check on them constantly!) and, much to my dismay, Blazer had diarreah too :(
It had no white in it. Just a dingy, liquid green.

I need to go to the store and get a probe thermometer today and some stuff to seperate them ( I think I'm going to just get a divider in there and get the extra lights for now instead of a complete 2nd setup for now) but I'm wondering if I need to buy anything else for them because of the loose stools and Pilots obviously too warm or something?? I'm going to go mist them with the FLuker's Vitamin Spray (I know they don't absorb the vitamins but I need to get a water sprayer still) incase Pilot is too hot because he had his mouth opened for a while :( so I know he's uncomfortable.

I will update this post with pictures that I took, during our routines, before I was a bundle of nerves but I KNOW they have to be getting stronger. Right??I think Pilot looks better. Right?? After I get the pictures on here. Please tell me if it's all in my head and he looks the same. I pray it's not just wishful thinking because both my kids thinks he looks the same.

1st three pics are of blazer. (I think her eyes look so much brighter!! I've found myself calling her bright eyes :)

2nd three are of Pilot. He's back to just laying there, looking very sick but these pics were nice to take :) I think after I feed him tonight he'll perk up for a few minutes after again.

7th pic is the tow of them in their home.

8th pic- IMPORTANT I tried to take it but I think it shows up on yesterdays pics better (let me know and I'll find it and re-post it here if anybody wants me to!) but Pilot has some sort black stuff on his head I noticed yesterday while bathing him. I took a wet paper towel and was able to get some of it off except in a couple places. I'm wondering if it is dried blood?? I asked when he ate last and she told me about two week he was given 100 crickets. I don't see any wounds at all but if a 100 crickets were put into a 20 gallon long tank woundn't they bite him??? I'm wondering if his "white" color could be from and internal infection from that??
Thank you for letting me be part of this wonderful community. You are a lifeline for me and my new, sweet babies.

I'm not sure about the instant diarhea - it could be from some of the liquid from yesterday - you aren't screwing up. You are doing a wonderful job!!! You are an amazing person for taking these babies in!!!! Blazer's eyes do look brighter too, btw. Keeping them hydrated is very important right now and you are doing that.

I'm not sure what the black stuff could be - maybe dried poo, left over shed, it could be cricket bites, if you have a soft toothbrush you could try gentle brushing him in the bath? Smid likes it - especially when she is shedding. Hopefully someone with more experience can answer more of your questions.

Once again = YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON, doing an amazing thing!!!!!

I think they are looking healthier! You are doing a wonderful job!!! Keep up the good work!!! I do not know how to answer your question, but I hope that someone with more experience will answer your questions. I think the white stuff in their poo is calcium. My beardie poos out a chunk of white stuff every time, and I am pretty sure it is calcium.

The white is actually pee (urates is the fancy term). White is normal in the poo, and good!

Hi, for some reason I couldn't view the pictures of Blazer before but her eyes do look quite bright for what she has gone through. I agree with you that they need to be separated as being together in the same tank can only add to their stress even more so, the sooner, the better. I hope you can find the digital thermometer at Walmart that I posted a picture of on one of your other threads. I'm going to explain how to use that particular AcuRite with the dual readings and humidity readout. You lay the probe end with a piece of tape on the wire near the probe but not directly on the probe, make sure the probe is laying on (actually touching) the basking surface then place the thermometer part way over on the bottom of the cool side, wait about 45 min for the temp to stop rising, then the "out" reading will be the basking temp and the "in" reading for the cool side.

I agree that if there were about 100 crickets in the tank, there certainly could be cricket bites on his head. Or, it could be poop or some dirt. Using a soft tooth brush would help it come off and you could also even use a little vegetable oil on a paper towel to gently wipe the areas.

When you give them a bath, it should help them feel more secure & keep them from sliding around if you put a washcloth down in the bottom of the sink or container.

In one of your other threads, I noticed that you had given some undiluted Pedialyte, I think it would be best to dilute it with 3 parts water to 1 part Pedialyte instead. Be sure not to squirt anything at all directly in the front of their mouths, enter from the side instead and slide the syringe or medicine dropper toward the front but not right in the front or they could aspirate on it. Put in a very small amount at a time and rub their beards to make sure they swallow it and it will help them get it down.

You're doing a great job & it does sound like there has been some improvements. :p Hang in there, we're here to help you every step of the way.

I was taking a look at your other thread, and Blazer looks a lot better than before, and I'm agreeing with everyone else that her eyes are brighter. Well done! Keep us updated, and I think diamc answered a lot of your questions.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
