Yea she eats crickets two times a day and greens once a day. She eats as many crickets as she can eat it ten minutes. She gets baths 2 times a week and gets misted every morning.

Sounds good just trying to cover all of the bases. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you before. I'm glad that she seems to be doing so much better. Enjoy your conversion into the world of becoming a beardie slave :D .

I got my baby Deeno at PetSmart at well. He is almost 4 months old now (was 3 weeks when we got him... they said) and he is the exact same size and color (he even has the same fat looking sort of belly) as your beardei. I feed him about the same that you do. I'll got take a picture to post so you can see how they compary.

Oh I bet he isn't 4 monts old. I figured out from this site that that's what tet say to everyone. Tet is in fact about 3 to 6 weeks old when they come in. I am going to guess that mine is about 8 to 9 weeks old now.

Me too! Thanks to your post, I think I am not feeding Deeno enough. I will have to up his feedings. It's just difficult because I'm not HOME enough to feed him three seperate times each day.

I only feed daisy two times a day. Everyone here says that's ok. As long as you feed him for at least 10 minutes each time. I feed daisy greens in the morning and then crickets at 3 and crickets again at 7.

I try to feed him two times a day, a mix of veggies and live food (although he only willingly eats the live food).

How is Daisy when it comes to holding her? Can you just sit and watch TV with her or do you need to stay in an enclosed space? This is my current dilemma, whether or not I can let Deeno roam if he wants to.

She is hit and miss about holding her. Some days she sits in my hands and stays there and I can pet her and her will crawl to my shoulder and stay there. But other days she is crazy. She moves everywhere and is a pain to hold her. I just make sure I hold her for about 15 minutes a day everyday. She comes to her cage everyday to come out to see me. Another thing that I think helps is that I don't feed her in her cage. I feed her on my kitchen floor which is great so if any mess is made I can clean it up. So he now sees me as her food supplier lol and not something that is going to eat her which is that baby beardies think we are.

I would love to feed Deeno on the kitchen floor to get that bonding time however he won't really EAT veggies at this point and he never finishs all the crickets I give him... I would be afraid that he wouldn't catch the cricket and it would end up running around my house. I've already found a few and those have gotten loose just from jumping while I was trying to get them into Deeno's viv. How do you feed her live food?

I have a cricket keeper that I got from Petsmart. It was like $11. And I put crickets in that. The crickets then hide in these dark tubes in the cage. I put calcium powder in a little ziplock bag and shake the crickets from the tube into the bag. I shake the bag up and they get covered in powder. I think it is easier to feed daisy on the kitchen so that the messy powder is everywhere. Then I let one cricket out of the bag it is all dizzy now and doesn't jump everywhere. She easily catches the cricket and I keep doing this until she is full.

That sounds like a good idea, I think I'll try it.

I decided to purchase crickets online from fluker's farm and since I'll be buying them by the hundred, my critter keeper will be wayyy too small. Someone on a different thread told me to store them in a plastic bin so that they won't eat each other so I think I'll do that as well.

How many crickets will Daisy normally eat?

Yea I am going to buy crickets online soon because I hate buying only like 25 at a time. Daisy normally eats about 15-20 crickets a day but these are the large crickets. You are not suppose to to really do that but she is eating them fine and about 1 large cricket is equal to 5 crickets. She is also larger. She is about 11 inches right now.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
