pics and updates of Cooper.

Oct 13th, 2011 I joined here, and intro'd myself and my little Beardie, Cooper. Being as she is so small (years and a half old and still only about 7.5" long), I always wondered if something was wrong with her. Those that read and replied will remember me saying she was attacked and severely injured by a tankmate when she was just over two months old. Because of that, I have had to syringe-feed her since (fear of live food due to trauma suffered from the bite). Well, I am happy to report, that while I still do have to syringe-feed her regularly, she has started to hunt and now eat mealworms! I have to be out of the room (or at least hidden from her view) when she eats them (one at a time, hand-dropped into the terrarium), but she eats them. One step forward.

I will share more pics as I upload them from my phone to computer to photobucket. Here is one of her just about a month ago:

She is a great little Lizard, and I love her. I will try to get some of her out sunning herself (under natural sunlight) so that you all can see her colors..........she really has a great contrast when she is all-naturally lit!

Beautiful. Glad to hear Cooper's eating. Maybe you could try a soft body worm though. Meal worms cause impaction. Repti, phoenix, horn, butter... All good  Nice to see updated pics of the cutie pie :D

I agree with finding a softer worm. Superworms looks ALOT like mealworms- just a softer shell. So perhaps you can use those? Or the other worms mentioned.

She looks cute, even if she is tiny!

Looks like we will be heading over to Columbus this weekend for the reptile show. I will be looking for some different worms there. She is too small for superworms, as from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail she is roughly 7.5"; a good superworm could beat her up!

On a side note, we will be picking up a case or two of pin-crickets as our oldest female laid a clutch of 15 eggs, 12 of them are good and very near hatching!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
