I just received my 100 phoenix worms for my bearded dragon from phoenixworms.com and was wondering if you just put the worms in warm water to get the dirt stuff before I feed the worms to my girl.

I started off with the 100 medium and there small and medium in there. There were definately more than 100 in the tub which is nice. I had to get them because the wife did not want to deal with crickets while I was out on business. Now I ordered 200 to alternate between crickets and worms just to give him a variety.

I just ordered my first batch and am waiting to receive them. I was getting tired of chasing crickets around.

I'm glad you posted this because I am sure I would have had the same question once I opened them up!

Morenar, how big is your beardie? Mine is about 11" so I also ordered the medium, thinking they would hopefully be a good size to start.

i ordered 100 medium phoenix worms sunday evening from phoenixworm.com and they were shipped Monday and I received them today. I got my bearded dragon right before halloween and she now is 10 inches long. She is a very picky eater and I could not keep crickets alive and found out that phoenix worms would be great so later I will give my angel some phoenix worms for dinner and hopefully she will love them so I can buy her more.

My angel loves her phoenix worms but now she wont eat anything else like her greens. I usually put out her greens an hour after her lights have been on and then give her live food at dinner time but now she wont eat her greens and not sure how to get her to eat her greens.

I buy my phoenix worms from Reptiworms.com they are a little bit cheaper than pheonixworms.com and my girl is 11 inches long and she eats up to 50 large ones a day... So I have to buy them in bulk!

I offer greens every day, whether our beardie eats them all or not, and also make them the first thing he gets to eat for the day. I follow up with crickets (and now phoenix worms too :D ) about an hour or two later. I've found that offering mustard greens, endive and turnips greens seems good for our beardie, but I also added sweet potato on top, green and red cabbage one day after I made cole slaw the night before and every so often arugula. Some other posters noted that the beardies seem to like pepperly greens. I think variety helps a bit too. I would just keep offering the greens each day, and they will start to nibble at them, that has worked for me.

I received the phoenix worms yesterday, fed some after the crickets, and our beardie went crazy for them! We usually need to chase the last few crickets over to him so he finishes his meal, but when I dropped the worms, he ran right to them ..... even when I dropped them on the other side of the cage! Seems to really enjoy the worms.

I still have crickets, so I am thinking of feeding a mix of crickets and worms at each feeding. So, now my question is, how many are you guys going through a day? Does 50 a day seem to be the concensus since our beardies all seem to be about 10-11"?

I would say around 50, the same rule applies feed her till the dragon doesn't eat anymore in a 10 minute period.

Thanks. I'm feeding crickets first and then worms. I may continue that or go completely to worms.....I definitely will go all worms once the crickets get closer to the adult size because they creep me out as adults.

I ordered 200 phoenix worms about 2 and half weeks ago, or so. My Puff is 6 1/2 inchs and 8 weeks now, he went through 100 of them within a week and half, I noticed a few of the worms from the second 100 are turning brown, they aren't dead just turning brownish black.. was planning to place an order for 700 of them today, but now I'm thinking thats too many because the second set of worms are turning! He also gets Dubias three times a day, along with his worm, collard green, dandelion green, mustard green salad that is refreshed three times a day! Any suggestions on the quantity to order, or how to keep them from turning ? I have to have them shipped to me, so I was hoping to get more, that way I wont have to order them twice a month!! Thanks in advance!

They can last a few months in temperatures from 50 to 60 degrees. I use my mini fridge and make it so it's not super cold

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
