ETA: I meant Phoenix worms! not sure if the "mealie" stuff they are in is differant.

ETA-again: I found this on their website. just making sure all agree...
Q: How do I get the packing media off the worms? Is it harmful if my pet eats it?
A: Pour out the worms you plan to serve in a small dish and let them dry for a few minutes. The media will fall off the dry worms and you can easily blow away any residue that remains. If your pet should accidentally ingest any particles, they are harmless.

A lot of us dump some PWs into a small dish of water - the substrate sinks, and the worms float, so they are easy to pick out with tweezers. However, getting them wet enables them to climb more easily, so they could climb out of your dragon's dish. It's really not a concern for me, as nothing wiggling in Pudge's cage is going to last long enough to escape.

I talked to the lady at phoenixworm.com when I ordered mine and asked her that and she said it was perfectly safe. But I just put them in a lil dish of water and it falls right off them , then put them on a lil dish and give them to Kiku. It gives her extra water too. Also because it made a mess all over the floor of her viv. LOL !

Thanks guys!! i was putting them in the dish, then letting them squirm a bit and blow it off as it comes off of them. I did put them in water once before, then emptied them out on a paper towel before putting them in the dish, but it was a bit more of a pain and when i'm getting ready in the morning the more simple the better. But whatever's best. i think if it's fine how i have it i'll do it this way for now. as long as it wasn't harmful like eating a piece of sand or something. that was my worry!

Thank again for the input! :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
