Hi, I have a 2-3 month old beardie that I have been feeding small crickets to as an insect staple food (plus the needed greens etc.)
I live in a small townhome and cannot keep too many crickets at one time so I go and buy about 100 every other day...I am currently paying about .065 cents per cricket.
I recently purchased 600 phoenix worms at about .050 each which is actually cheaper then the crickets as you can see, is it safe to use Phoenix worms as a staple insect for my beardie and not feed him crickets at all?

I use reptiworms, which are the same thing, because they are cheaper than crickets. My little guy loves them and has been growing like crazy. Perfectly fine staple.

Phoenixworms are a convenient and healthy staple, I recommend them. Silkworms are a little more expensive but great as a feeder as well.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
