Hey guys got my beardie today, finally!! By all accounts its a she according to the breader judging on temp the eggs were incubated at and her size in comparison to a few other bigger headed hatchlings. She seems to be doing well was happy to eat up 30 crix a couple hours after moving in, will see how things go tomorow she looks dead how she is sleeping at the moment but looked v. healthy earlier today! such a joy, such responsibility! She is at 23'c now give or take and is lying in the middle of the viv so i guess she is not uncomfortable. Will report back on her tomorow, she is very friendly and curious even eating a few greens...

Hope this looks right for her viv, newspaper as suggested, two digital thermometers and sensor for the heat mat ( that came on for a few mins this eve but has been off all most all of the time, and one for basking spot giving her a soilid temperature of 43-45'c .... a couple of plants i spray incase she wants a little drink, and a food bowl with some greens on there, Hope this is all ok, but open for sugestions, ps. do you think she can climb onto her branch she did it chasing crix but think she may not realise she is big enough to do it normally. Not seen her on the log yet but sat in the area just next to it lit by her lamp ( 100watt ). the top of the log is 7inch from a repti sun 5.0 36" tube in a 36"viv...

Nice beardie! You must be elated. You seem to have things covered. She will learn to climb the branch, believe me. Good luck and thanks for sharing with us.

i hope so too, she seems a bit pale today, she has not got to her basking spot yet, should i be concerned?! she ate a good 30-40 crix yday but maybe 3 so far today plus some veg, but had a nice steamy poo on her greens... i have a small hand warmer bag thats very mildly warm and fairly hard at the bottom of her branch to encourage her to climb.... she looks looks slightly worried that the hand is in the viv but loves lying down close to the bag, i raised the temp one degree each side and she has not been panting so im guessing its just a matter of time untill shy climbs....
