Hey hey!
I am thankfully in the final stages of finishing my first Baby B's set up. She was born on last Mother's Day and is just over 8 inches long! So about 92 days, which is a bit over 3 months old. (Hopefully I'm good at math)
But back on track, as I finish up her enclosure and prepare to buy her I want to have a good understanding and schedule for feeding.
I currently have
- Repisafe (I hear a lot of opinions on do & do not use this)
- Repcal Calcium Ultra-fine
- Repcal Herptivite Multivitamins
I am planning on using these as Staple Feeders & Her Food
- Pheonix Worms
- Dubia Roaches
- Greens & Safe veggies
- Treat : Occasional Hornworm
For the first few months I will only have a variety of Greens simply because of the people in my household but ONLY Phoenix worms until said people get used to the worms and allow me to get dubia roaches. Which I estimate being a month at most.
So I checked the website i'm going to be buying them off of https://www.phoenixworm.com and was looking towards the small / mediums (not sure on which yet) as her staple feeders till the dubias are allowed. They say they can be used as staple food but I wanted to double check and ask here.
If I did my research right I'm hopefully good to go. But my main confusion is do I even dust the Phoenix worms in calcium? Because they are so rich in it by themselves. The breeder told me I do not need to dust calcium but can use multivitamins 2x (twice) a week and whenever I bring Dubias into her diet I can calcium dust those.
Whenever I bring in dubia roaches I will swap P.Worms out with Dubias every T & TH.
So the schedule I have is this below . . .
Monday - Phoenix Worms w/ multivitamins & Veggies
Tuesday - Phoenix Worms & Veggies
Wensday - Phoenix Worms & Veggies
Thursday - Phoenix Worms w/ multivitamins & Veggies
Friday - Phoenix Worms & Veggies
Saturday - Phoenix Worms & Veggies (If I have them : 1 Treat worm)
Sunday - Phoenix Worms & Veggies (If I have them : 1 Treat Worm)
Again shes is:
- A little over 3 months old
- A bit over 8 inches
- Staple Food will be Phoenix Worms : https://www.phoenixworm.com & Veggies
- And the supplements I own are Repcal Calcium & Repcal Herptivite Multivitamin
