I have been searching to find out two things reguarding pesticides. First, how long does it take for something like Ortho Bug B Gone to lose toxicity. We got new carpet for my office last spring and it was infested with carpet beetles. I sprayed around the edges to help get rid of them. I would like my beardie to run around my office while I am working.

Secondly, is there a pesticide that is safe around reptiles. I know of one that is safe around birds, but it is really expensive and is in an aresol can. I know those stupid beetles will be back as soon as the weather warms up. I would like to get rid of them with out killing Quigley.

Thanks!

Getting rid of that infested carpet would be a safest option. I think. But I know that's not always possible.
Hope someone else will chime in and give you some info on pesticides.

we installed it ourselves and never tacked it down because it is in the basement on concrete. I am thinking of taking it outside and power washing it with diluted bleach, rinsing it really well, and then leaving it out in the sun to kill any of the eggs. I am hoping the pressure washing will get rid of any residual pesticides.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
