Periods?

OK, um, weird question, but do female bearded dragons have periods or something like that? I just want to know so that I'm prepared (I have a baby female beardie). I didn't think that lizards had stuff like that, but I have a male leopard gecko and he'll eat his sperm sometimes . Idk, guess it's a lizard thing.

I really dont think they do. I think they may lay unfertilized eggs if the temp is right. I really dont know though but im pretty sure they dont have periods since they dont have eggs internally that they have to release. Again, im a big dummy but in my experience with dragons and iguanas, Ive never heard of it.

No, not in the literal sense. However, they do ovulate at certain times of the year, primarily in the spring when hormone levels are at their highest. They can lay infertile eggs, several clutches in fact, even if they are never mated with a male.

Ok. If she does lay unfertilized eggs, do I just through them away or will I have to dispose of them in another way?

Oh ya if her hormone levels are going to be high will she get "emotional" like grumpy or something?
