I have often read that young Beardies bite, hiss, and puff there beard at there new owners... I feel very lucky because my Wizzy ( who is five months, got him when he was three months ) has never ever done any of these things. Sure it took a week or two for him to get comfortable, but he has always been real cool. My question is, is it luck I got such a cool beardie. Or am I doing something right?

Zero is/was the exact same way. I think it means we're doing something right and they can feel the love. :D

Enkou was about four and a half months old when I got him, and he's been super relaxed and tame the whole time. Granted, I've only had him for just under two months, but yeah, I've felt so lucky so far! He only bearded at me once, and he didn't even darken it -- just puffed up for a brief second. Otherwise, he's never hissed or bobbed or waved or anything. He is calm and doesn't mind being handled or going for car rides or perching on my shoulder or cuddling up with me for bedtime. I've been so grateful and can only hope he stays so calm and well behaved for the rest of his life, hehehe.

Nice! Glad to know I'm doing something right! :D yesterday I took him on his first car ride. We went on a chricket run to PetSmart. He seemed to be enjoying himself. I however almost died in the car with no ac. Wizzy and I live in Hotlanta!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
