With Puff and Rex I was mixing softened repcal juvenile beardie and vetafarm lizard pellets with the grated carrot and sweet potato finely chopped raw beans and raw peas and processed buk choy greens mixture from the get go, and they were a gram or 2 each of this mixture along with their crickets and silkworms each day as hatchlings 6wks and older.
With Toothless and Peppa , I've not been mixing in the softened pellets with grated veg and greens mix.
I've found the pellets are a better food for the crickets and superworms. The crickets love the repcal adult beardie pellets dry straight from the bottle.
Live insects and fresh greens and vegs (chopped or grated) are best for your little young beardie. Even with adult beardies , I'd only offer pellets as an occasional food mixed with greens , salad and veg.
At 2.5 months old I'd be very pleased if the little beardie ate any greens or veg (hard veg are best grated) , I have been lucky enough to always have little hatchlings who come to me from their breeders eating some greens and grated vegs from the get go (as young as 5 weeks old).
If your's isn't interested in the greens and salad yet , I wouldn't be concerned , just keep offering fresh greens and grated veg each day (with the SECOND live feeding) , this way you can sure your little one will get plenty of high quality calcium, and insect protein and insect fats so it can grow and develop properly. Greens and veg at this age are a bonus.
