parasite treatment

We had our beardie tested for parasites and she had coccidia - we gave her the medicine, retested and she was cleared.

Now she is acting a little weird, has SMELLY poo every morning and I'm wondering how soon before they can get re-infected? How do they get infected anyway?

We change her area daily and bc I'm home all day, as soon as she poos, I change the papers promptly. Do crickets or roaches carry this???
We had recently started buying some dubia roaches from a petstore (instead of our vets office) and they keep the roaches in a plastic container and they are full of roach poop --- we actually stopped buying them now b/c it just grosses me out...but is that a possibility?

Our vet said to retest every year - but we just finished our meds about 2 months ago and i'm wondering if I should retest her this soon???

Coccidia can be tough to get rid of, based on her symptoms I would say to go ahead and have her tested again. If she had even one little egg alive still in her gut, that would have been enough to start the infection all over again.
