Paradox?

Hello guys, I was looking onto paradox bearded dragons and found something interesting. So I was reading that paradox are very rare but can you be able to breed 2 paradox and get more paradox? I read that you need 2 trans-hypo dragons in order to get the paradox is that true? Is there another way in order to get a paradox? Or is the trans-hypo dragons only able to do it because they carry some of the paradox genetics with them? Is it also true that paradox have lower life time and have more health problems?

Hi there, I'm not sure about the breeding of 2 paradox but here's what happened to many of the morphs as they were starting out. When the trans. dragons first came on the scene they were very weak + sickly, almost no one would breed them [ 2 trans. ] together and it's still not a good thing to do although the lines are stronger now. Same with the Witblits, just a few years back I remember reading that people could hardly get them to full size, they were weak, slow growing and did not thrive. I imagine it may be the same with the paradox, but I don't know that for sure.

These health problems didn't happen in most standard morphs, including high color reds + yellows because these colors exist in beardies in the wild. But the strange aberrations that are popular now have, in general, had problems from the start.

So I can't breed 2 normal translucent dragons? So I can breed 2 trans-hypo or is it still bad?

I would not breed trans. to trans. at all.

Here's an experience from this forum posted by a reputable breeder. It's just part of a thread but what she says has happened to others. It may not be the case with all, but it is serious enough to be taken in to consideration.
