Paper towels.

Does anyone else have the problem of their bearded dragon trying to eat the paper towels as a substrate? I'm unsure if it's just because he's shedding, and then after rubbing his face he tries to attack it, or if he's just trying to eat it, or make me take him out of his cage... >_>... I need to get him tile asap. Just curious if anyone else had this problem?

yup they love eating them its just there curiosity

slate tile being removed? thats a first lol normally people love it it keeps there nails great and easy to clean also maintains heat very well

Yeah I move the paper towel when Ruby is eating. A few times she go it in her mouth but spit it out, I don't want her to accidentally swallow some.
Tile is a ton better. I have that in my other viv. You will love it!

My beardie has never tried to eat the paper towel.
But I have paper towel everywhere except for where I put his food dish, there I have a VCT tile - they aren't as slippery, I find.

when Tasty Treat is going after her crickets she knocks the paper towels around and somethings gets it in her mouth instead of the cricket, but she always spits it out.

She is getting too big and heavy for paper towels -.-

We put patterned paper towels in Dubs's viv and he chewed at every green spot thinking he could eat it. But he also licks the flowers on the tissue box, tried to eat a dollar, and goes after the leaves on my bedspread. And he's 2 - old enough to know better!
