Painful discoloration around back legs

Hi, my bearded dragon Mushy has had this discoloration for a while now. About a month ago, we went to the vet, and they said it was some inflamed skin that didn’t shed properly. We left with an oral medicine and some cream, but so far it doesn’t look like it has done much. The discoloration seems to be spreading, and the affected scales on his back are dark with the affected scales on his underbelly a pale yellow. It is not a shedding yellow, that has been comnfirmed, but the skin around the darker yellow scales looks like it will shed soon. Feel free to ask anything.

Thanks,

Concerned Pet Owner :(

Hello,

That doesn't sound very good! Can you post some pictures of that for us? Just click on the
XIMG to upload the pictures, then copy/paste the IMG to here.
How long have the skin issues been happening?
Which medication did the vet put him on? Has it gotten any worse since he started the meds?
Continue using the cream to see if it clears up. Is it a silver cream? You can also use some
manuka honey or raw, unpasteurized honey on the affected skin, too.
I would watch that very carefully, to be sure it doesn't get worse or spread further. Did he
do a skin culture to send to the lab to make sure it wasn't fungal?

This doesn't sound good at all, as it sounds very much like a fungal infection. Could you please post some photos of all the effected areas on him? And then list the names of both the Oral Medication and the Topical Medication that the vet gave him? Was this a Reptile Vet? And did this Vet do a "Skin Scraping Test" on the effected areas to rule-out or diagnose an infection?

If this is a fungal infection the medications that he was given could very well be making it worse, so can baths (moisture feeds fungal infections). The Vet should have immediately done a Skin Scraping Test and sent it away to a lab to confirm if it is a fungal infection and what type of fungal infection it is, if it is one...Dragons are prone to some extremely serious and life-threatening fungal infections, so you want to stay on top of this...please post the photos ASAP so we can take a look at them and guide you in the right direction of what to do next.

Hello,

Please keep us posted on your dragon & if you are able to get him to a vet. I hope you can
get him in soon, to get it treated immediately.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
