Pacing Back and Forth, Etc.

My recently bought Beardie Lazarus has been randomly pacing back and forth in his cage and occasionally trying to climb the windows in his cage. For example when I put him to bed, he will stand as tall as he can and try and climb the glass. I feel like he's stressed or something, and I want him to be happy. Any advice?

Omg My Beardie does this to hes about 1 1/2 months old!!!! I wish I knew why...sometimes he'll climb up to the thermometer and jump off and do it again :shock:

Hi,

I have 3 beardies 2 aged 5 or so months old and 1 which is 4 & abit months old. And I dunno if u mean the same thing as mine. But the 1 5 month old will pace up and down by the front glass of his tank and he'll try climb the glass, still climbing and pacing glass! We normally just take him out and let him run around abit and put him back and most times he calms down! So try that!

The 1 4 month old does similar, she goes the corners of the viv and tries to jump up the walls or stands up on 2 legs and leans against the glass. So I think it means they want attention. Cause everytime they do it, I take them out and they seem fine afterwards!!

Yeah they do it because a) they want out or b) they can see their reflection. its completely normal and doesn't necessarily mean theyre unhappy or stressed. Mine is 1 year old and still does it....expecially after ive just cleaned her viv and the glass is sparkling (good job beardies don't leave dirty fingerprints :shock: )
