hes good tonight, basking on his branch as I type this...but hes always good at night, this only happens during the day, right before he poops

his poop is totally solid, almost too solid in the fact that they are HUGE...some even have a still formed cricket in them....Ive put some small crickets in there, but hes not interested in them at all....I got baby food but its late at night so I may just wait till the morning, I dunno, its weird..kinda got me bummed for the holidays, kids are asking me if hes gonna be ok, and I dont know, it sucks

Ok....Elvis officially loves baby food! He came and got down in the corner of his tank and stared at me(im at a cpu desk right next to him) like he usually does when he tells me hes hungry, so I tried a little chicken baby food, put a dab on his nose, licked it, and proceeded to much the rest of the "gob" off my fingertip! didnt too too much but Ill start in with it tomorrow.........a little positive note at least I guess

heres a follow up question, once I have opened the baby food containers and put them in the fridge......should I heat them up in the microwave before giving them to him again, and if so, how long

another little update....he just pooped with no stress.......it was a big poo.....im tempted to post a pic of it, but he did it without stress while on his basking limb and it fell to the his habitats floor......so now im intrested to see if I get the hiding under the cave routine tomorrow.....as I have just witnessed him poop without the stress.....I will keep p with the baby food throughtout the weekend

I'm so glad he likes the babyfood.. YEAHHHHH for him going without stressing.... that has to be a big relief for you! As far as warming it up.... I don't know... I think if you warmed it up to just room temp that would do the job. OH I'm so excited for him and your family. Merry Christmas... Keep us updated

ok, question, how do you guys feed baby food to them....elvis eats it so fast that he eats the gobs off my finger, and it hurts!!! lol I tried a spoon and he wouldnt have it, ive put it in a dish in his habitat, not working

You said his poop had a still formed cricket in it? He may be having a problem digesting his food, have you had a fecal done recently?

no i havent....I actually think hes been eating crickets that were too big for him and it may have been causing him pain...because in a day of eating tiny crickets during the day, and then some baby food at night, he passed a good poop without issue last night, Im gonna try the baby food over the holiday weekend with maybe a few tiny crickets and see if he keeps pooping normally...hes been almost 24 hours since the last incident of turning black and balling up before pooping....ill keep a careful eye on him over the holidays

Hi, I have no extra advice than what has already been given, I read the story from page one, and I just wanted to say that I hope you have solved the issue with little Elvis, and that his future toileting sessions are without pain or other issues.
