Ouroboros submitted to herself

I have had my beardie for about 3 days now. Today, I caught her staring intently at one side of her pen, where there was a dark spot on the wall, that allowed her to see her reflection. Then she started lifting up her arm and did the submissive arm waving at her self  When she saw her reflection do the same, she bobbed her head once, and when she saw that her reflection again did the same, waved her arms again as if testing this mysterious other dragons patience. It was a humorous little bit to watch

Reflections can be confusing to them sometimes, especially when they're younger. From what I've seen they tend to get used to it after a while though and ignore it.

That's so funny! Both of mine try to be the boss of that jerk in the glass. But then, they also try to be the boss of me, my boyfriend, the cats...and so on!

Is she submissive/relaxed around you, too, or just her reflection?

Yes! She is very comfortable around everyone that handles her, she just wants so bad to explore, but she is so small I'm afraid she'll get lost xP I haven't seen her react to her reflection the same way since that one time. The last time she saw herself, she licked the glass and ran to eat, lol.

We also like to sit her in front of our turtle tank, they seem to have a lovely time conversing through the glass. The turtles will attempt to eat anything that moves on the other side of their glass, and Ouroboros is the first living thing they haven't tried to snap at!

Problem solved! xD Especially funny since you have turtles.

In all seriousness, I understand the concerns about letting them roam around! Wagner is pretty big and fat, so I'm not too worried about him getting into or underneath something that I can't get him out of. Then again, he's also kind of lazy, which may be how he got to be big and fat. Morrigan is much smaller and definitely wily, so she doesn't go out unless it's a very controlled environment!

Yea my house has a lot of nooks and crannies. The turtles thankfully are too big to fit anywhere dangerous but Ouroboros is really good at sneaking into place like a little snake. She even found her own little shady hide hole in her tank that I didn't even realize was there  I was freaking out when I couldn't find her in the tank and then my housemate pointed out her tail was sticking out from under her basking structure, there was a little cave unintentionally put there.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
