My partner was playin around on craigslist and found a pair of bearded dragons for $100 with tank, lights, and food... well we went to look at them and i told him that we needed to get these dragons out of there as they werent being kept properly as thier tank was a 29 gallon and had no room for both of them in it... so we got them and when we got home i let them soak in warm water for about 30-45 min or so to hydrate them and to give them each time to poop... they each now have a 40 gal breeder tank to themselves... The female has laid 2 clutches according to the guy but seeing how he didnt know how to incubate the eggs they either dried up or he threw them away... her first clutch he said was about 20 eggs and the second clutch she laid was about 35 eggs...
He also had them in the same tank together for 2 years and was not happy when i said they needed seperate cages to avoid over harassment from the male and to avoid over breeding... they are about 3-4 years old and in great shape other than Lil Momma the female stayed hidden most of the time while she was in with Toothless the male but now she is in her own cage by herself and doing great and being alot more active... Toothless is very much a male and lets you know it cuz if things arent to his liking he flares up his black beard and head butts ya or sinks his claws into your arm or leg... Here is a few pics we took of them last night after thier baths and big meals (mixed greens, fresh green beans, grated carrots, grated squash, shaved pumpkin pulp, and smashed boiled egg (lil momma only))... The salads were topped with phoenix worms, waxworms, freeze dried grass hoppers, roasted Mealworms, amd jumbo adult crickets and as a special treat for Lil Momma I gave her a thawed frozen hopper mouse since she wasnt getting no other supplement other than calcium dusted crickets... Any Who here are some pics of Toothless and Lil Momma our two newest additions...

More pics to come once i get the custom cages built that me and my partner are working on in the spare bedroom since we have 5 beardies now and pretty sure we will have more dragons real soon one way or another... Plus thank god for Fluker's, Armstrong, and other Cricket Farms cuz paying $1.00 a dozen isn't an option anymore but oh well they are cheaper to buy bulk than at a LPS/LFS/LRS...
Also if anyone might be able to help me out with color identification i would gratefully appreciate it... I'm pretty sure Toothless the male is an OGG x Sandfire cross due to his coloring and me working with OGG x Sandfire crosses a few years ago... Lil Momma is Black, Gray, and White with no orange or red markings at all on here and has somewhat of a piebald or translucent patching on her legs and belly... The yellowish color in the pic of her on my arm is from the light being a bug light and white compact fluorescent bulb in the ceiling light...
Thanks,
Michael Drake
