Hey guys! How's your day going? Today im going to buy some feeders for my beardie. Normaly she gets crickets but last week I decided to give her a little more variety. So I fed her crickets and around 5-9 small to medium superworms and I hand fed the supers so i know that she chewed them good. I would like your opinion on super worms. She is 11 to 11 1/2 inch and her poop was bigger with the supers should I stop feeding the supers all together?

Hi, my days going great (besides being kept up almost all night by a puppy!), thanks for asking...lol

Anywho, I havent fed mine supers yet, they are 13" and 11", Ive seen supers b4 tho, and they seem like theyd be WAY too big for my girls! Im pretty sure Ive read (in several places) not to feed them til your dragon is at least 16", something to due with a kink in their digestion tract until they reach around that length, so I personally am going to wait off til mine are bigger, I dont want to risk impaction, any risk is too big of one. You could get them and start breeding them now tho, so youll have plenty for when they get bigger (thats my next thing to start, probably in a month or so tho) I feed mine Dubia roaches, and they get crickets and pheonix worms (caliworms, reptiworms, all the same thing, just dif brands) for variety.

Tho Ive nvr used supers b4, if you were to cut them up into smaller sections, do they continue to wiggle or just die?? If they still wiggle you could do that?? IDK just a thought...

Thanks :) and yeah your right I was a little uneasy about them and her last poop.... It was HUGEEEEEE!! I go to petco for crickets (not the best place) and every time I go the calcium worms are turned into those scary looking flies!!! Ill try calcium worms instead and start breeding my leftover supers. Thanks for you imput!

Lol I could barely handle the crunching of crickets! I don't think I could cut one in half haha!

I've read some people on this site that say that giving small superworms in moderation should be fine. It probably won't hurt your beardie to have a couple every day or so but if you do so, make sure they're small and, like you're doing, keep an eye on the poops.

Have you tried ordering crickets online or even reptiworms? It beats buying from stores and they should be fresher.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
