Hey everyone,
I recently realized my tank set up was lacki mf and that I've grossly misunderstood the lighting tips! But I think I fixed everything. Here's a before and after:
I got some more stuff for them (i dont have two dragons I just dont know the gender yet) to climb on (I plan to get a bit more) and they seem really happy about it! They're moving around a lot more as opposed to our first week together when they were pretty stationary under their basking light; I had thought they were just cranky from shedding.
Now with the lighting I got an 18 inch repti sun compact 10.0 fluorescent light bulb and I turned off the coiled one that came with the kit. I'm using the 100w basking light I got from the zoo med kit as well. The temperature is 90 and slowly climbing.
All in all they seem generally happier and more alert. Still a little wary of me though! Its week two so I'm sure they will eventually come around right?
