Onyx The Dragons official thread! Set up included

Hi! I got Onyx a little under 2 weeks ago and he's been doing great for the most part. Here's his set up in case I should change anything .

*No clue what gender Onyx is so I'll be referring to it as a him*

He has a reptisun 10.0 uvb bulb, a 150 watt basking bulb and a 50 watt bulb on the cool side.

I do have the Reptisun 10.0 uvb bar light to put inside I just need to wait a bit to get the actual encasing for it to connect it.

The substrate were paper towels but today it was changed to porcelain Tiles.

I do plan on getting a bigger tank once he's older and larger, he isn't even 15 grams yet XD.

I decided to take the water bowl out to keep humidity down and will be bathing him every other day now. I was only bathing him every 3 days before.

It looks really good. The sooner you can ditch the coil reptisun and replace it with the tube style the better. The coil style direct UVB into one smaller spot and for this reason can be harsh on their eyes. But other than that it looks great, very nice set up.
Do you know what your temps are? Basking, warm side, and cool side?

I actually went out and bought a reptisun hood! The fancy one with the extra lights.right now I have a bit of a more needy setup that I'll show but in the future when I have a larger tank and more space it'll look better. It came with a 5.0 tube but I got the 10.0 and switched it out !

Also I do have one digital thermometer on both sides and I also have an infrared thermometer to recheck everything

Nice. It looks very good. Having thermometers on both sides will really help you keep an eye on those temps. I think you've managed to provide your little one with a very nice home

Here are the updated set up photos. Like I mentioned before it's a little bit of a mess right now but with a larger tank in the future it will be much easier to keep everything looking good

Also the temps on the basking spot tend to be around 102-107 and the cool side tends to stay at around 80-85

your background is really nice.

I'd add some leaves and stuff as the babies like to climb and hide.
