I'm trying to figure out if I should be concerned or not. I adopted a one year old female beardie named Thorson. We've had her exactly one month and she's pooped three times. Each time I had to give her prune baby food with olive oil, with a hot bath and belly massaging.
Relevent info:
She's on slate tile now and was on sheets of paper. At her old home she was on sand or walnut shells.
The basking spot is 100-110 degrees. We were using a bad thermometer at first, so we're guessing for the first few weeks it was at 90-95. Cold side is about 80 during the day and 70-75 at night.
Each day she gets 3-5 mealworms, greens (currently chard), a little bit of butternut squash and a little bit of a different veggie or fruit for variety. Food is cut very small. She eats most of her food, only leaving some greens.
We bathe her every 2-3 days. She got daily baths wghen she was shedding for a week. Her baths are a bit short (5 minutes) because she hates them and will only stay there for that long before flinging herself at the walls of the tub.
She doesn't bask after eating most of the time. She's usually very active and goes climbing around her cage. Today she discovered a new hide under a piece of wood and stayed there looking quite proud of herself.
Her poop has looked normal, though the urate might have been a bit large, especially with the first two poops that were 10-12 days apart.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Could this just be due to adjustment? Will I just need to help her poop once a week for the rest of her life?
