Only pooping in the bath

I know a lot of people seek to "potty train" their beardies to go in the bath but Gorbash will only poop in the bath ever since I moved her to her new tank. She will refuse to poop in her tank if I don't bath her.

So, a couple of months ago we upgraded Gorbash's tank from a 20g glass tank to a 4x2x2 melamine enclosure. Since then she has not pooped once in her new tank, while she used to go every day in her old tank and pooping in the bath was rare. We have now reached the point where she will poop within 2 minutes of going in the bath and yesterday she went so far as to scratch at the door to come out of her tank so she could go!

I have tried varying her bath schedule. If I bath her every day, she will poop almost every day; if I bath her 2/3 times a week, she will poop 2/3 times a week! I'm not overly concerned since she is at least pooping regularly, I was just curious if anyone else's beardie refused to poop in their tank?

Yes my beardie does the same thing. Shell scratch at her door all day long and hold the poop in for days if i dont let her out. So i usually just wait for the sign each day and then plop her in the bath.

Yeah that's common. A lot of them don't tend to want to be in the same place with their poop. If you can get the bath schedule consistent, eventually you may be able to get her to poop on the floor on a paper towel every day at around the same time. Super easy cleanup!
