Hi all,
We've had Spock for about 11 months now, she's almost 16" long and now weighs about 317g. A little over a week ago we took her to the vet because she hadn't pooped in a month and was eating very little. Before that she went through what seemed to be a weird brumation. She was down for a week (which was ok because she'd pooped that day and then settled in behind her cool side rocks) we took her out for a bath after a week just to keep her hydrated, then she basked for a week straight and only ate 3 small dubias and 2 superworms, after that she would not poop despite daily warm baths and then went into another week of cool side hiding. The vet was able to get her to poop and the tests came back with no parasites. She was down 16g when we took her to the vet (from 296 to 280) so he had us use Emeraid and syringe feed her. We did that for a week and she started pooping on her own again. I also increased her basking temps to closer to 110º. She seems to like it warmer like that. This seemed to help perk her up and we got her weight back up (see above) Now for the last 2 days she'll just pick at her greens (collard, mustard, dandelion) but she'll scarf the supers we offered her. She had 4 yesterday and 3 today. She wants nothing to do with the Phoenix worms and dubias we have. I have a dubia colony so I can keep offering those, but I'm at a loss on what to do if she'll only eat supers from now on. Is that a huge no-no?
