one smart beardie!

so I have my beardies lights on a timer and they are set to go out at 10:00 every night. Now get this...at about 5 til 10 my beardie leaves her basking spot, goes under her hammock, gets on her sleeping spot and lays herself out, ready for bed. Is every beardie this smart? I am amazed.

thats too cute! one smart baby! I always tuck Sunny and Spike in their hides and cover them... Sunny stays and goes to sleep and Spike takes off and lays on his favorite log... stubborn bugger!

mine does that. but usually 30 mins before her lights turn off

Havoc does the same thing as well. 15 mins before lights out he starts heading for his bedroom and gets ready for the lights to go out. I even got a video of him doing it in his thread.

wow, that just amazes me how they know when its bedtime. It's 9:54 now and my dragon is already on her sleeping spot. She lays there til the lights go out at 10.

My beardie is also very knowledgeable about "bedtime". She crawls over to her favorite corner at around 9:30 and snuggles in. But when daily savings happened and we had to move the clocks forward her timer got moved forward too. She was very mad at me for a few days. She would crawl into her spot an hour early and just stare out the front like, "hello, what are you doing?". She is also very smart in the morning. I usually go check on her after my shower and she gives me an evil eye if I turn on the overhead light before her timed lights go on. I found out that beardies are super smart and she definitely knows how to get what she wants.
