One P.O.'d little dragon

So, this last weekend we went to a local exotic pets expo and ended up bringing home another Dragon.
She's about 13" long and quite a lot bigger than our little 8" hatchling Rico.

As this was an unexpected addition (as soon as the wife went "Awwww", I knew I was in trouble, as that's how we got the cat too),
I didn't have an enclosure for her, and I'm a big opponent of co-habitation [especially given the size differences].

I did have a 20 Long tank laying around and had enough spare lights (and a quick run to walmart for more fixtures)
to set up a temporary enclosure while waiting for the new one that I ordered for her (48x18x17, front sliding doors).

Now, since she's so much bigger than Rico, we decided to put her into Rico's enclosure (after a good, solid, cleaning)
and put Rico into the temporary 20 Long. MISTAKE

Rico was P****D :angry5: He spent the next 3 days black as sin. I mean his entire body went black and he wanted
nothing to do with us at all.

Finally, after 3 days of this, I put him back into "his" enclosure just to check. Within 5 minutes, he was back to his normal
coloration and perky again. 5 Minutes! Ok, so now I'm cleaning everything again and putting the small dragon into the big
tank and the big dragon into the small tank :banghead:

(She doesn't seem to care one way or the other, but boy Rico did!)

Yes, they sure get annoyed when they're moved or anything is changed in their life. He was one p.o.'d dragon all right, spending 3 days black & nasty, then back to is great self once moved back into his own tank. :D They are just so funny & scary when they get like that. I have 5 adult males and I don't dare move anything, when cleaning, they watch me very carefully & check their furniture to make sure EVERYTHING is the way it should be, then proceed to lick everything just to be double sure  So I can quite understand why he'd be so annoyed to be moved. You'll have your new tank soon, though, so your new dragon will do fine, as you said, she wasn't concerned when she got moved around! Which means you have a great personality dragon on your hands!

So congrats on the new member and pics would be great!

My adult male doesn't like having anything moved as well.
Cage cleaning is just the same when everything's put back
in. One thing moved he stares daggers at me til I move it
back to where it was the first time.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
