One hatchling 24hours ago!

But none of the others have even showed signed. Is this normal? Temp is at 84. I have some that look like they are dieing! This is my first attempt. The little one is healthy and moving all around so I moved him into his new setup. I kept him in the incubator for 24hours before moving him but I did not want him to hurt the other eggs the way he was moving around now.

When should I try feeding him crickets? I put one in the but he seems scared of it not ready to eat it.

Thanks for the help.

As long as he was left in the incubator for 24-48 hours and his cord was dropped.. Than your okay. Offer minced fresh greens, and under 1/4'' sized crickets. THEY USUALLY WILL BE FRIGHTENED BY THE CRICKETS the first time encountered. I like to get pinheads from a local bug farm the first 2 weeks and then move up to 1/4''. If he/she does not eat the cricket the first 2-3 days dont worry, it is still thriving off of the embryo fluid in it's belly. When it is hungry... Instinct will kick in and IT WILL EAT!

Ok Thanks! I will order pinheads tomorrow and see if that works. I am hoping the some more of the eggs hatch soon. Guess he is was just and early bird. He is moving all around and I waited 12hours after his cord came off and made sure it was a full 24hour before I moved he/her.

I don't see any movement in the other eggs at all and am getting worried. How long do you wait from first hatchling to see if the rest come out?

It varies. That egg could have been in a warmer spot than the rest and developed a bit faster. My rule of thumb is if its not rotting/stinking than keep waiting. I have had a hatchling pop out a full 10 days earlier than the rest of his clutch mates due to his egg being the closest to the wafer.

My little one died. I only was able to get him to one meal worm and that was it. I tried my best temps were right. None of the other eggs have hatch and most look like they are dieing. I guess this is not my thing. I had a store ready to buy and everything. I am going to wait a while on the eggs but not sure I will get any more. :(

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
