One eye shut

Had a problem finding anything on this so asking here.

For the past couple of days my beardie has been keeping one of her eyes shut a lot. She will open it when eating and playing but besides those times she keeps it shut a lot. I have also seen her scratching that side of her face on her log.

Since getting her she has not shed yet so I am not familiar with what the eye lid would look like during that time. Its more of a lighter grey on the eye lid than the rest of her body. She won't close the other eye for me to be able to see any difference between the two.

She is about 5 months old. I keep her basking around at around 100 degrees, measured by an infrared thermometer. The bottom of the cage is lined with felt, no substrate in the cage. She eats crickets twice a day and greens once a day. She has been pooping every day so I have not been worried about impaction. For her UVB I use a reptisun 10.0 UVB lamp.

If it's shedding it will eventually look grey and waxy, and will generally spread to a larger area. Sometimes other colors like white, pale blue, pale pink or even pale green depending on the dragon. The shedding area can also begin to look puffy or swollen as the old skin begins to separate from the new. They can scratch at it with feet or rub it on the floor/furniture. She might also bulge her eyes out to help loosen the old skin. Shedding eyes may be irritated, but they shouldn't be runny or inflamed.

It's possible she scratched her eye, but shedding sounds pretty likely.

Is the Repti-Sun 10.0 a compact or fluorescent tube? What is the distance of the UVB to your beardie while in the basking spot? Do you have it alongside a bright white basking bulb?

Sorry for the late response back. I have been busy with college and meetings for my children. It is definitely shedding that is her problem. She is at the stage where the flakes are just flying off of her head.
