OMG!! male dubia escaped IN MY BEDROOM! help! ---Found it

I'm freaking out. I went to hand feed one of my beardies and the male dubia ran up my sweatshirt and now I can't find it! Is there any way to find it or get it to come out in the open? My room is a mess with clothes. I closed my bedroom door... My mom already freaked out when she found a cricket in the bathroom and started screaming. I need to catch it!

Where are you at? I believe they don't live any longer than a month probably less if it's cold.

:idea: Still a problem though, maybe lay down some double sided tape with some bait on it :twisted:

An idea put some double sided tape across your door so that if a cricket or dubia tries to leave your room they will be stuck.. at least then they wont get out into the house...

and I would do what Beardys Rock said to try to trap the dubia...

Another thing that might help is... cleaning your room
might keep the parents happy too. :roll:

I am hoping he will try to "fly" /flutter where I can see him. I'm sitting in my room with my 7 month old kittens, do you think they will see him and attack?

It's strange, I like clutter. I find it easier to find things lol . I'm 19 and my parents have given up on me cleaning my room. It will stay neat for like 3 days and then it is like a hurricane was in my bedroom.

haha me too. exept i hate clutter. im just too lazy to do anything about it :lol: i used to go crazy and go a digging through my clothes when i lost a crix but now i just give up and my mom always finds them and drops them into Skylers cage while im at class. :lol:

Nothing really bothers me except something that happened last week... I woke up at 8am to a dead cricket smushed to my face, guts and all. I guess it got out and jumped on my bed and I squished it wit hmy face. I felt something weird and It peeled off my face

Heh, you too huh? For some odd reason, as chaotic and cluttered as my rooms look, it is more organized and easier for me to find things than if I try to keep it straight. Dunno why that is.

About a week ago I took an adult male out for my dogs to play with. Well, he got away in the hallway and I didn't pay it any attention. Wasn't really worried about him being lose. A couple of days later, I picked up a pair of sweatpants close to my enclosures and there he was, huddled up and helpless. Guess he was trying to get back into the roach bin, cause he climbed up a good ways. I know it was the same one cause I had clipped half of his legs to slow him down for the dogs.
