OMG Eragon and Sunny LOVE Roaches!!!!

Ok, I finally got the NERVE to try feeding some of the adult male roaches to my adult beardies.... OMG you should have seen the reaction!!!! I dont think they'll ever touch another cricket.... yikes!!!! LOL Eragon gobbled up three, and Sunny gobbled up FIVE!!!!

Grow colony GROW!!!!!

LOL I am in the same boat! Iggy's loving them and the colony just isn't growing fast enough to keep up with her apetite!!

I want to try roaches, but the man says "NO!" he says we already have enough animals in the house, but it's not like I'd keep them as pets. I'll have to see if a pet shop around here carries them.

LOL "I" said no, as Ive always had a huge phobia to them, but now I said YES YES YES! They DONT stink, they DONT make noise, the are EASY to care for, they DONT jump, the DONT climb, and they are SLOWER than crickets... and my babies LOVE them!!!!

And now with 4 more beardies (I have now have seven! - one is being fostered), I NEED a colony!!!! Once it's established, it's FREE FOOD!

Hubby said no too.... then I "tried some" as a way of getting my foot in the door with him, and also to see if I could handle them, and to find out if my lizards would eat them.... and once he realized that they werent that big of a deal, he's fine with the fact that Im now getting a colony going! Maybe you could order a few... and see how it goes?

I was thinking the exact same thing :lol: but he has been very good about living in my zoo and he doesn't complain TOO much :mrgreen: I mean he never even batted an eye when I brought home a poor beat up little dog from the shelter I work at, but I might just put them next to the rat food and he probably wouldn't even notice.


2 dogs (plus the random ones I am either sitting or nursing back to health)

16 rats
1 baby ball python that is soon to arrive.
