Lol, sorry but I agree with Sandy here -- there is NO way I'm ever going to voluntarily touch a roach! Especially not the ginormous adult ones! I won't even touch crickets (they smell yucky and they're too fast and jumpy for my liking), so roaches are definitely a no no. I don't actually have roaches (can't find em in Canada..), but in the event that I ever do, I think I will stick with using chopsticks like I do with my crickets. Works well for me, works well for my dragon, so everyone's happy!
There is something about roaches that just puts me off. I don't know if it's their size, their nasty looks, or the fact that some species can survive under horrendous conditions, but I've acquired a fear for them as I've gotten older.
NOPE!!! NEVER!!! It ain't gonna happen! I just got a new batch of dubia today from Marcus and got a batch of the Fuscas as well (dwarf cave roaches). The adult dwarfs are even bigger than the adult dubia! The males have really big, delicate looking wings, and they are quite a bit larger than the dubias! Very cool looking roaches, but I'm still not picking them up!
I love my guys, watching them is better then TV sometime. It will come in time you'll end up loving them and finding yourself buying treats for them at the gro store. At least I do.

Jason! Treats? REALLY? Wierdo! LMAO! I thought putting in the orange slices counted as "treats"! I was watching the new Fusca's for a bit after putting them in the new bin last night. Kind of a wierd, creepy fascination with them. They are huge! Hubby picked one up, and I could see it's head, looked kinda like the head of a praying mantus (now that's a cool bug). The also have the huge, prickly, ugly, grabby legs! EEWWW!!!!!!!!
